Be’W

Office Platform for Work & Life Harmony

An office platform designed to move beyond the zero-sum idea of “work vs. life,” proposing a system where work and life coexist through flexibility, focus, and connection.

Background

Be’W was created by a cross-functional team of six - 3 product designers and 3 service designers - exploring a new model of office work. Instead of treating work - life balance as a trade-off, the project embraced a philosophy of work & life harmony, where people adapt how they work depending on context, place, and team dynamics.

System Concept

The platform is built around four core values of work:

  1. Self-directed Individuals

  2. Workplace Autonomy

  3. Flexible Work Culture

  4. Collaboration

Each value was developed as an independent product by the product team. As Service Team Lead, I designed the main system that connects and orchestrates these four products into a single, coherent experience.

UX Design

Be’W provides two primary work views: Widget Mode and Task Mode, allowing users to switch based on their current work needs.

  • Widget Mode offers a customizable dashboard where tasks, team status, news, and tools can be arranged freely.

  • Task Mode focuses on deep task execution with filters, progress tracking, comments, and shared directions.

The same task structure is accessible across desktop, mobile, and shared displays, ensuring continuity. The UI adapts to different devices while preserving a consistent interaction model.

Exhibition

Be’W concluded with a graduation exhibition showcasing flexible work across environments.

To visualize “working seamlessly,” I used:

  • Projection mapping on physical structures

  • Arduino-based interaction to detect visitor position

When a visitor stood on different carpets (e.g. café, home), corresponding work animations were projected onto the wall structure, demonstrating how the same system adapts to different contexts.

My Role

  • Led service team and coordinated with designer

  • Designed the main platform system integrating four independent products

  • Defined end-to-end service flows and interaction logic
